How pinning works
Choose the region under Settings. The choice is shown on every page of the workspace, and in the data processing agreement.
- US by default
- A new workspace is hosted in the United States until you pin it.
- Pinned means it stays there
- A pinned workspace is stored and processed in its region. It is not copied to another region to run a search or draft a message.
- Backups in the region's own set
- Backups of a pinned workspace are kept in that region's own backup set, nowhere else.
- Where a host is not yet live
- If a region's own host is not yet live, the workspace says so in plain words on its Settings page, and is hosted in the United States until then. You are told when it moves.
Export
Under Settings, export everything in the workspace: businesses, evidence, messages, approvals, meetings, proposals, the consent record and the activity log, as files you can open.
Delete
Under Settings, delete the workspace. Everything in it is removed from the region's live set and its backups within the time the data processing agreement states.
The details are in the privacy policy, the data processing agreement and the list of sub-processors.
